Make sure to reset the modem for cable service only. Keep your modem plugged in. Find the modem’s Reset button (hole). This may be on the back or bottom of the device. Press and hold the button with a paperclip or pin for 15-20 seconds. Release the button when the modem lights start to flicker, and after a minute, check the Internet connection.
